At the Amager brewery we are comfortably situated far away from small-town modesty; we are not afraid of excess, and the term “moderation” is simply not found in our vocabulary. To us, gluttony is considered a virtue rather than a sin - at least when it comes to one thing: hops! While making this beer we targeted the hops which shone brightest in our hop room, as if they were almost begging to be used in copious quantities. And that is what we did, as befits a Double IPA of the highest caliber. We have squandered to a sinful degree - and we love it. And we bet that you will too!
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Perspective, what a motherfucker. It’s not uncommon for the same thing looked at from two different viewpoints to be seen slightly differently. Just like it isn’t unusual for minorly discrepant stuff to be acknowledged as equal. Same, same, but different. Different, different, but same. So when two brewers from one country currently brewing in opposite hemispheres teamed up to discuss a collaboration beer, the idea of playing with perception felt natural to both. And so it was that we sent our Brazilian import back to her homeland to play a little reference game with Cervejaria Dádiva. Would people there have conflicting opinions about a recipe released in two minorly modified versions? Would coconut outshine the original Goiabada imperial stout, or would the plain candy-like guava adjunct on its own appeal more? To take this further, we decided to fuck shit up by double mashing our own interpretation of Dádiva brewed ‘Point of View’, creating a fuller bodied beast – or beauty, depending on how you want to twist this. Your choice. Just make sure you try both before formulating an opinion. This still is a matter of perspective, after all.
This is a collaboration beer made with Cervejaria Dádiva, São Paulo, Brazil.

10% Whisky Barrel Aged Peated Baltic Porter (Bowmore)
The Black Cat – or cat sith in the local tongue – is a fairy creature, always known for the white spot on its chest and for being as large as a grown-up dog. Known to haunt the Scottish Highlands, it was feared by the Scots, especially around the time of a death. If the corpse had not yet been buried before the Black Cat appeared, it would steal your soul before the gods claimed it. What was left behind was a soulless spirit, doomed to forever roam the borderlands between Heaven and Hell. Oh yes indeed, the Black Cat is a beast largely to be feared. Temperamental as most felines and risky to deal with. Some households feared that only a constant supply of fresh milk in the barn in a specific Black Cat saucer would keep them fortunate. And those farms that did not put out a saucer of milk would be cursed by having all of their milch cows run dry.
