The thirsty tiger is an India Pale Ale. An IPA has traditionally been highly hopped. Using hops as a preservative to withstand a long boat ride is an old Dutch trick. This use has been successfully adopted by the English brewers.
Single hop US centennial
To make the hop sensation more specific, only one hop type was used: The hops were added continuously for 120 minutes.
Dry hop
Adding extra hops during lagering enhances the hop flavor and hop aroma without making the beer more bitter.
