Our most popular Double IPA is a hop head’s dream come true. Utilizing a bit of caramel and honey malt to create a delicate and very subtle sweetness, this is an amazingly balanced beer considering its hop-forward nature. We selected a neutral yeast strain to ensure nothing interferes with the intense tropical juiciness of this choice mix of citrus hops. Dry, drinkable, and dangerous.
Explore the deep complexity of flavor imparted by Motueka, Galaxy, Strata and Mosaic hops double dry hopped in The Benwood, our tribute to tropical aromas, citrus flavors and Florida’s most famous shipwreck.
Winner of the gold at the 2014 World Beer Cup® in the rye beer category, Habitus is a very drinkable, high gravity, crisp and spicy rye IPA, hopped generously throughout the brew process and then dry-hopped with over a pound per barrel of Sterling and Chinook hops. Earthy and spicy notes from both the hops and the rye malt, complimented by the floral and piney aromatics.
Since 2009, Cigar City Brewing’s Wayne Wambles and his team of intrepid brewers have experimented with additions of Spanish Cedar, the same wood used to make the world’s finest cigar humidors, in an innovative collection of beers called The Humidor Series. The most popular of these beers, Humidor Series IPA, is being reintroduced to the world in 2020 through an embrace of the essence of its unmistakable citrus-forward hop profile, the Jai Alai IPA recipe. The same beer you loved as Humidor Series IPA is now ready to expand your notions of wood-rested ales as Spanish Cedar Jai Alai IPA.
IT'S NELSON OR NOTHING Named after Nelson Sauvin, an outstanding hop varietal from New Zealand. The hop is introduced through the brewing and dry-hopping of this complex and well-balanced IPA. A hazy straw hued ale, Nelson is topped by bright white beer foam and offers a tropical hop aroma. The pine and fruity hop notes linger, but are well-balanced by the smooth, malty addition of European rye malts. Enjoy this stunning and multifaceted, yet mellow IPA.
"Clean this mess up or else we'll all end up in jail...those test tubes and the scale...just get 'em all outta here..." He was referring to the complex super-critical-CO2 hop extraction equipment set up on the table in the lab across from the brewhouse. Hop extracts are for the BIG brewers, he thought - suitable only for crummy sub-standard and barely-passable industrial lagers, not the subtle and elegant craft beer made here. But wrong he was. The New Brewer does not eschew any possible inputs. In this case the mountain of extracts will replace the mountain of hop vegetative material in the kettle thus creating cleaner hop flavors and preventing the otherwise spinach-like mess of a kettle full of super-hopped wort from clogging up a pump or worse. The sensuous honey-like amber ooze was administered intravenously to the wort kettle and the sacrament was complete. Another kettle of Hop Stoopid is once again raised up and fermented on high.
This take on a Hazy IPA is a juicy mix of citrus aroma and nuanced fruit characters. The flavor opens towards tangerine and lime zest with notes of tropical papaya and mango, and finishes with a hint of ripe strawberries. At almost 6 pounds per barrel of hops, this Hazy IPA is a hop bomb that delivers the bitterness without the bite.
Old school meets new school in this fresh approach to the classic IPA. At 50 IBU’s and 6.7% ABV, Breaking Bud features the restrained bitterness and alcohol of a classic IPA with newer tropical fruit hop flavors and aromas of Mosaic. Also in the hop mix are Simcoe and CTZ, creating layers of mango, passion fruit, pine and dank. A malt bill with a pinch of crystal malt and a hefty dose of flaked wheat keeps the beer crisp while adding flavor complexity. Cheers to the past, present and future!
You've just discovered one of the most enjoyable IPAs we've ever made. A crushable balance of citrus hops, mango goodness, and smooth finish truly puts this beer in a league of its own. Grab a bottle and experience how a mango IPA should taste. Cheers!
Absolutely fresh hit directly from hop-fields of Yakima Ranches. First Russian IPA to be brewed, hopped and dry-hopped with new experimental hop breed HBC369 (commercial name Mosaic). Released February 2013. Aroma: black currant, ashberry, tropical fruit, citrus, tobacco and earth.
Encore! We had so much fun with the Deftones and out Phantom Bride collaboration that we had to bring them back for a new series of seasonal releases. The outpouring of support from fans at home and abroad could not be ignored. Swerve City IPA captures the tropical vibes of POG juice. With the classic combination of passion fruit, orange and guava, it's like summertime in a bottle! So, sit back, put on your headphones, and drink away. Cheers - Tom
Ripe oranges, fresh pineapple and smooth pine. Citra, Mosaic, Idaho 7, Cascade & Centennial hops combine to deliver a powerful lupulin punch. Soft orange haze, with a crisp, moderately-bitter finish for maximum drinkability.
À tous les fins palais qui nous demandent de façon distinguée : «Donne-moi ta meilleure!»... Eh bien, la voici! Intense et fruitée, notre IPA est un divin nectar qui saura satisfaire toutes les papilles!
Eat the Dust! is a new round in our 'haze craze and juicy race'. It's a DDH all-Citra, and nothing but 20 g/l of pellets and 3 g/l of lupulin powder literally smuggled into Russia. You can't get further into the hops after all that.
