Heimwee (Eng. Homesick) pays tribute to times gone by, when beers were wild and spicy, brewed with ingredients growing alongside the brewery. It is also a tribute to our friend Jan Kemker from Kemker Kultuur from Münster. Our shared passion for old styles and traditional brewing techniques has forged a close friendship from which this beer originated.
Heimwee is composed of a wood-aged dark beer and a wood-aged blond beer with wild-picked herbs and gale from food forest Ketelbroek. To this kaleidoscope of flavors we have added a good amount of ripe Opal plums from the Star Regard. The fragrance is complex, with sweet, sweet notes of caramel and plum balanced with the minty freshness of the gale. The first sip is fresh and acidic, after which the sweetness of the caramel malt subtly emerges. The high carbonation content provides a fresh mouthfeel. In the aftertaste you taste light bitters of the gale. Heimwee is a fruity, spicy and rich beer like you don't often find. The desire begins as soon as the glass is empty.

A thatched farm with an old horse stable, a handful of goats in the pasture, a orchard with fruit trees behind the house, sultry bales of hay in the fields and hop tendrils in the hedge. Country scents, a candid temperament, a beer without accessories but with honest ingredients: that is Erve, our wild tribute to the classic Belgian harvest beer Saison.
Erve is a bitter, dry and rustic table beer with a subtle palette of local Cascade hops, adding warm tropical flavors to the beer. Brettanomyces' distinctive aromas have developed a rural and fruity character in conjunction with our wild house yeast. It is brewed with locally grown Heliaros wheat, St Jansrogge and Rode Ebner spelled from the Doornik Natuurakkers near Nijmegen. Erve is the ideal beer with a simple but tasty meal, or a nice mature farmhouse cheese.

A spring hike in the mountains, a descent to an alpine meadow with patches of mist, where herbs grow that fill the air with fresh, floral scents. Cool, pure mountain air fills your lungs, everything breathes purity. In the valley, the echo of a simpler life hangs close to nature, close to our heart. Here we find what we have lost.
Alm is a dry, slightly bitter wild beer with "forgotten" herbs, or herbs that you hardly see nowadays. A shame, because they often have delicious aromas that we like to shine in our beer. Summer wormwood gives fresh, soft notes of citrus and young grass. The spicy Belgian edge of our wild house yeast goes well with the biscuit-like maltiness of the beer.
Alm has won the gold medal at the Dutch Beer Challenge 2019 in the category “Innovation / special - less than 6% ABV”.

A picnic in the grass on a carefree afternoon, the sun high in the sky, your bare feet rooting between the blades. As you gently drift away on the hum of a honey bee that goes from flower to flower, you will hear a bird chirping excitedly in the forest edge. An animal itches on your skin, a broken twig pricks your side. A stray dewdrop stubbornly clings to the grass, the wind carries the sweet scent of hay from an adjacent farm.
You drink Weide on a warm day, when a fresh and dry beer offers the best cooling. This beer is very light and yet exciting because of the rural aromas of the wild yeasts. The local Spalter hops give subtle notes of lime and young grass, while unmalted spelled and wheat provide a soft, creamy mouthfeel. The dry, bitter aftertaste and the low alcohol percentage make Weide a pleasant drinkable beer, with a nice and soft complexity. Do not drink Weide with heavy dishes or with strong beers, because it is mainly intended as a light thirst quencher or as an aperitif.

Einder is the color of an approaching sunset, with the clouds glowing gold and the sun gently falling on the horizon. The sounds of the day slowly fade away, while the living heat is still trapped in billions of grains of sand. The tide creeps up on tiptoe, a seagull screams excitedly in the distance, but nothing disturbs the lazy realization that life is actually quite good here and now.
Surrender and balance are the keywords of Einder, a hearty sour beer with warm notes of plum, lemon and almond. Brewed with buckwheat and unmalted grains, the beer has a full structure, through which the fruit conspicuously weaves through. The mirabelles come from the Ketelbroek food forest, where we went every week for a month to pick up the ripe fruit that had fallen from the tree. Quietly waiting for what the forest offers us instead of taking what we want is our way of letting nature speak in our beer. Einder has matured in oak barrels for 12 months.
